Who We Are

EEsclatec is a special employment centre which designs and develops products with own technology within the electronics and engine control systems sector. The work centre created by Associació Esclat, and officially registered as a public service, (M. O. 06/03/97) employs people who are seriously physically challenged.

The products we make are targeted mainly at the Technical Aids and logistics and storage sectors within business. We also have an R&D&I Department and a fixed agreement to work in collaboration with Barcelona's Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya for the technological research and development of our products.

We have three main objectives:

1. Developing NEW products, to aid people in their daily lives.
2. Quality job creation for people otherwise excluded from the labour market.
3. Satisfying the needs of all our employees and clients.

The law for the social integration of the handicapped 13/1982

In order to encourage job integration for the handicapped Law 13/1982 for the Social Integration of the Handicapped was passed, obliging companies with 50 employees or more to employ 2% of handicapped people.

Royal decree 27/2000 compulsory enforcement

As the level of unemployment among the handicapped is still very high the Council of Ministers has issued a Royal Decree establishing alternative measures for contracting handicapped people.
This Royal Decree basically proposes two alternatives:
A- Buying products and/or services from special employment centres or freelance handicapped workers.
B- Making donations or leaving inheritances, always in the form of money, to organisations officially declared of public services with the intention of promoting job integration and job creation for the handicapped.
